South Padre Island 2021–Day 3

Well, peeps.

It turns out that three straight days of sunshine and sand is pretty much the limit for my crazies, ha.

They had a blast again today, but the wear and tear on their little bodies after too little sleep, and too much sun was a bit evident—at least for Little Man, whose exhaustion still shows a bit more as a five-year-old.

I’m pretty sure we’re going to be dragging boatloads of sand everywhere we go for a few days to come, but tomorrow morning, bright and early is our departure.

And a bunch of house restoration-related items await us immediately upon our return.

So glad we could give our babies a really lovely, sandy break like this for a few days before heading back to our topsy-turvy home.

Lots of smiles, for sure. :)

Chica and Chicklet spent so much time, over the course of two days, playing bury-the-shoe-in-the-sand-dune, ha. It was a wild success...until this afternoon, when we temporarily lost one for a couple hours. ;)

Imagine the shrieks from the freezing cold water...

Yup. Daddy rented a wet suit when the kiddos demanded some body surfing time. Freeeezing cold. Nobody lasted long. Little Man’s shirt was only off because he was washing some scratchy sand out of it.

No, we did not make this sand castle...

Over and out, peeps.

Happy Almost Friday.
