Sleeping Summer Babes

It’s been a while since I’ve managed a sneaking sleeping pic of any of my babies. :) :)

I used to stalk them all the time in their cribs. Every chance I could get. But now, during the school year, it’s pitch black when I wake them and I can guarantee they wouldn’t appreciate a phone in their face amidst their morning zombie state. Or it’s summertime, and the rascals are the ones waking me up with their rowdiness.

After an insane few days, and a family sleepover last night, at least they slept in a tiny bit this morning. And Little Man was the last one awake, so I stalked him a bit more for old time’s sake. :)

You know, we’re in this very interesting phase of sibling bonding sleeping for the past five months now. Since our winter storm disaster and subsequent house gutting required us to consolidate our living space, the kiddos all had to bunk together during the restoration.

But now, even with their individual rooms available to them again, the little stinkers still want to sleep all together! And I’m having a hard time coming up with a really rational reason why they need to separate.

I mean, I know they probably sleep better on their own, with no sibling(s) to wake them during the night or before their individual body clock in the morning. But it’s hard to be strict about it during the Summer.

Especially when I know they won’t always want to be three peas in a pod. :)

So…for now: long love the sibling sleeping!

Over and out.
