Homemade Bouncy Balls!

Well, peeps.

You know it’s an awesomesauce kind of lazy July Saturday, with not much on the agenda, when the highlight of your day is a 20-minute, super simple project. :)

Homemade (glow-in-the-dark) bouncy balls!

Woohoo!

Now. We’ve actually made our own bouncy balls before, but it was quite a few years back.

So far back (I now know, because I just checked the archives of this here blog) that Little Man wasn’t even born, yet. Gah!

So CLEARLY, it was about time for another round of this simplistic fun, ha.

Also. It was pretty glorious when I mentioned making some the other day, then we just happened to pass by a pre-made kit in Tarjay a few days later, and then we actually got around to making them just a few days after that.

That’s the gloriousness of Summer!

The capacity (when the timing is right) to actually make time for spontaneous projects and random entertainment that the demands of a school day and homework and extra-curriculars and rigid bedtimes just don’t allow.

So…yay, for random, low-key fun. :)

And, seriously. It could not have been easier to dump the colored powder/crystals of each kiddos’ choosing into the mold and then soak it in warm water for 10 minutes.

Voila!

Easy peasy.

And super hysterical to watch their made up game of get-the-bouncy-ball-in-the-storage-ottoman. Tehe.

Happy Low-Key Saturday, peeps!

Over and out.

P.S. LOOK what we were doing three years ago, today!

Getting Chicklet’s cast for her broken leg switched out, so she could be a bit more flat-footed for the second half of her recuperation. OYE. Sooooooo grateful our day this year is much more low-key than that!

I’ll never ever forget juggling three kiddos by myself in that small exam room when we weren’t expecting to have Chicklet’s original cast sawed off right then and there! Talk about a challenging medial visit with three unhappy, stressed out kiddos! The things we survive with small babies, ha.
