With the pandemic in full swing and in a pre-vaccination stage last summer, we never made it to a public pool. So it’s been a long time since the kiddos have enjoyed swimming in a giant space like this.
And the highlight of all highlights was definitely the slide time. :)
I knew Chica would be game, but I was interested to see if the younger two would be as enthusiastic now that they’re stronger swimmers, and as it turns out, they were ALL OVER IT.
Like, probably went down the slides about 27 times each, ha.
And the most impressive part of it all was that each time they made a trip down the slide, they had to…

Swim back over to the side to haul themselves out.
Then walk back around to a jumping off point to get back in the water.
Then swim a decent stretch across the length of the pool.
So they could climb the slide steps and start all over again!
I mean…to say it wiped them out would be a wild understatement, ha.
Thank goodness for ice cream and sunscreen breaks.
Also, can we just zoom right in on Chica’s amazeballs freckles (even the tiny, constellation ones on her cheeks beneath her eyes) that shine so beautifully once we make it to this late-stage of summer when she’s at her peak level of tan, ha.
I just live these little fishes and I’m so glad they enjoyed their swim time so much today, and I’m grateful to the grandparents for taking us. :)
Also…the ladies enjoyed some spa time this morning while the boys played video games at home.
And tonight, my tired but cozy babies couldn’t have been cuter watching the show that makes them giggle the most.
