Apparently, I’m just a glutton for messes and festive FUN, because I decided to throw our annual sugar cookie baking into the mix this afternoon, despite our busy week and still-recovering vacay selves.
WOOHOO for just GOING FOR IT (as evidenced by Little Man, below)!
No commentary needed here—except to say that it cuts me deep to search through past years of baking posts, when my babies were itty bitty, because now, they’re just GIANTS.
Also of note: our Halloween baking show we watch as a family is definitely rubbing off on m’nuggets, because their decorating skills are ramping up in sophistication, big time. :)
All good fun for this Almost Friday. We’ve almost made it to the WEEKEND. Squeeeeeee.
Apparently, the gel icing wasn’t all that tasty…
But they got over it, because it allowed them much greater control over their decorating flair.
And we supplemented with this better-tasting icing, as well…

And we balanced out the sugar high with a super healthy chicken and rice/veggie soup for dinner, hehe.
One last notable moment of the day: I managed to sneak a school lunch with a second kiddo today. :) Only one more to catch by surprise…next week.
