Tomorrow is FEBRUARY, and I, for one, am super pumped.
I don’t dislike any month. But January is always my favorite month to see in rear view. And there are so many odds and ends to love—literally—about February that it always gets me super excited about springtime on the horizon.
One of the silly little traditions that makes February so fun in our household is…
Valentine Boxes!
Basically, since my three were itty bitty, I’ve always had these adorable felt Valentine mailboxes that attach to the back of a chair. And every day for the first 14 days of the month I leave a little candy or prize inside.

It’s something so simple and joyful and unique to our household, and it really lets us enjoy these two weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day.
Now. I’m sorry to report that our beloved felt Valentine mailboxes of years’ past didn’t survive our Winter Storm Disaster last year. :( And I’m even more sorry to report I wasn’t able to find a replacement that was similar enough for my liking. Boooo.
However. I went in a different direction, with something pretty darn inexpensive, and I think they’re super cute:
And I’ve already set them out with a tiny prize inside for the morning, and I know my three crazies will be super excited when they roll downstairs all sleepy-eyed.
So, yay, for little holiday traditions.
