February “Ice” Weekend Cocoon

Well, peeps.

We really lived up the laziness of this random “ice” storm four-day weekend in this neck o’ the woods.

With not much on the agenda, weather that recovered so quickly, and kiddos who were just happy to chill, it felt like a good loooong four days.

What a gift these random weather days have been to us this season. We’re already a week in to February, with Spring Break in our sights, and for once (knock on wood), it feels like we’re on track for a decent first quarter of the year (more on my anxiety stemming from this particular time of year in another post).

Anywho. A few random pics for kicks and giggles since there’s not much to report…

My snuggly, mischievous girlies (and Chicklet’s new bathrobe she rocked nonstop this weekend):

The toy scorpions I gifted the kiddos in their Valentine boxes on Friday morning—and instantly regretted:

My motivation was not necessary bright, but well-intentioned: I thought if we had cute crawly toys, it might help us fear the real deal a little less. But I can report that I was wrong, and when these toy effers crawl around, I want to flee.

Chicklet reported it to be the worst toy gift ever—but still carted it around all day. ;)

We even managed to fit in a snow-appropriate doodle this weekend. Woohoo!

“Jon” is the name Little Man gave to his snow Angel dude, tehe:

And one final bit of family fun: a really yummy meal out, where my kiddos ate corn dogs for the first time (yup, you read that right), and devoured a Godiva brownie sundae so fast we recorded a time lapse video of it and it was hysterical.

Grateful for the long weekend to soak up some of that quality time before a really jam-packed 48 hours coming up.

Happy Sunday, peeps!

Over and out.
