Hibiscus Doodle

Well, peeps.

I feel like it was a banner day, simply because it wasn’t a banner day, ha.

The kind of day where we were busy, but not too busy to work in some quality time after homework and to-dos—and another doodle. 

Be still, my heart. :)

I give you…a simple hibiscus.

One of our favorite flowers that I can’t manage to keep alive and thriving. (Side note: I’ll never forget how Chica called it a “hibiscuit” when she was little. Ugh. Straight to the heart.)





I lurv that our reinvigorated joy of doodles is so strong right now that Little Man asked to put his hibiscus on our gallery wall. And it was a perfect suggestion to start a summer refresh for the area. It’s been awhile since we’ve updated!





Chica was pretty dang hard on herself during her particular doodling and took many tries to get it exactly as she wanted. But she was so pleased when she was done that she also requested a placement on the gallery wall. :)



And since we then had two hibiscuses (hibisci?) on the wall, we needed some other seasonal fun—and some Chicklet representation in our refresh. So we added her hula girl to the wall (bottom right in this pic), though she declined a posed picture because she was too busy played a video game at the time, ha.

I promise to only post another dozen times about our love of doodling now that it’s coming back to us. ;)

Happy Almost Friday, peeps!

After last weekend’s chock-full schedule, we’re really looking forward to some cocooned family time.
