Pour & Tilt Painting

Okay, peeps.

It’s been a busy couple of days—and it was a chaotic half-day of school today, to boot. Hard to get much done!

I’m sorry to report we didn’t manage anything spectacular with our afternoon (well, we managed a doodle!), but…last week, we tackled this really-fancy-ultra-complicated painting technique.

It was so complicated, in fact, that I’m not sure you can follow along with the instructions.

But try.

You pour.

And tilt.

Pour…then tilt.

Got it??? ;)

We added some iridescent glitter flair at the end. Because, why not???

I actually think they turned out really stinking coolio. Like geodes. Or galaxies!

Only problem…we were a bit over-enthusiastic with our paint pouring and a teeeeeeny tiny bit too much (read: about a gallon too much) ended up on the canvases, and it just spread and oozed and merged and became a bit less pretty as it dried for two days. Oye.

So just enjoy these pics from right after creation when it was still swirly awesomeness, ha.

Happy Tuesday (that feels like Thursday), peeps!

Over and out.
