Summer Theme Day: Bubbles!

Okay, peeps.

We capped off our first week of summer break (!) with another hyped up theme day. This time…BUBBLES!

Ironically, we didn’t mess with a single traditional bubble. But we did play with lots of other types.

Like…bubble doodles. :) I think this one was stinking adorable.

And so was Little Man’s big smile. :)



And actual bubble gum…



I bought three kinds and we did some taste tests and bubble contests. Turns out, Chicklet was the bubble protégée (I never really let my crazies chew gum, so this was a novelty).

It also turns out that bubble blowing is prime Chicklet Dimple Viewing. I die.





Look! Even Daddy joined the fun while he was working from home. 



Also…apparently the card game we were playing was plugged in to our theme day. LOVE me some synergy. ;)

Next to report: an amazing bubble art project that was so cool and EPICALLY MESSY that it deserves its own post, which I shall write up tomorrow. OYE.



And, finally…after a yummy Friday night meal out, we came home for some swimming, and the reveal of the giant Wubble Bubble…















I’m so grateful for the solid, happy vibes that launched our summer break this week.

Lots of creativity.

Lots of time together.

And lots of fun (I hope).

Tomorrow will be another happy family day with a movie outing, a double feature movie viewing at home, and the second half of yet another art project we began today (that I have a feeling is going to turn out really beautiful).

We’re really not letting any grass grow, ha.

Then I’m hoping for a little bit of a regroup on Sunday before a busy week ahead.
