TONIGHT is Meet the Teacher night! Gahhhh!
For the past two days, my crew lived in a blissful squeeze-the-last-possible-time-from-summer cocoon, but now, things are gettin’ real with the impending school year!
So we’ve been doing our best to distract ourselves from any anxiety by tackling one of our STEAM projects this afternoon in these final couple of hours before we step foot on elementary and middle school campuses.
No better distraction than one of our favorite learning diversions of the summer: Crunch Lab!
This week’s project was RIGHT UP our alley, as it focused on the “A” in “STEAM,” which of course is…ART. Our jam. :)
I give you…our Art Machine!
Basically, a mechanical version of a Spirograph, tehe.
No explanation needed on this one; just some happy pictures of an activity to occupy our thoughts and nerves. ;)
After adjusting the radius a few different times and creating a handful of coolio designs, I blew their minds by busting out the OG Art Machine:
HOW do my babies not remember using this???? Ha. Been a long time, I guess!
So…yay, for some fun, mechanical art! And, yay, for a positive launch to the school year—happening in T minus 90 minutes. Squeeeeee!
