A few weeks (or maybe just a day) from now, when we’re in the weeds again, or life feels overwhelming in the pull-your-hair-out style…remind me that we had a solid family weekend with happy early-summer vibes, and it helped to re-set us in a major way.
We had family silly snuggly time…
I feel like Little Man nailed it when he called my cake Sprinkles and Sparklers. It just felt like the right kind of cherry on top of our sundae to summarize this re-set holiday weekend, ha.
Now…onward and upward for this final, darn week of school!

The hubby and I tackled some insanely-hot yard work…
We had the chance to cook and bake…
we launched family swim time…
Chica and I had a major Harry reading marathon…
I finally cleaned the fish tank…
The hubby had time for table tennis with the kiddos…
All three kiddos and the hubby got home haircuts (still, all these years later, the pandemic gave us barber skills)…
Some laundry was tackled…
And…we did not have any extra-curriculars or required events, so we only got out for church and food—and COFFEE.
Halleluiah.
