Macabre Chic!

Okay, peeps.

It’s been a milestone few days around here.

Our Coda puppy had her major surgery yesterday and is now home safe and sound (Amen, Halleluiah!).

But man, oh man, was the process full of allllll the anxiety.

And will continue to be, for many weeks to come!

I’ll share an involved post about the whole shebang in the coming days, but for now, let just say that I’ve been insanely productive over the past couple of days as a way to cope, prepare and distract myself.

And I may or may not have launched—with the familial blessing!—our Halloween decorations in the process.

At least a bit of them. ;)

Our whole vibe is getting a refresh this year. Less cutesy, more spooksy!

Except for this dude. Definitely all the cutesy vibes, still. ;)

I can’t totally raise my freak flag and put up ALL the exterior decorations quite yet, but I spent lots of time sanding down and repainting the porch railings this past weekend and then staged some of the decor in that zone…

And I jazzed up the console tables in the living room with all sorts of ghoulishly fabulous finds…

There are so many flickering LED elements that make it a whole VIBE at night.

And speaking of vibe…this skeleton is mine right now…

I love, love, LOVE this time of year.

If I’m going to be a bit more housebound with my recovering Coda girl, I’m grateful it’s FALL.

Happy Coda Is Home Day, peeps!

More soon!

Over and out.
