Chica is still super sick, but I think her fever has finally broken (Amen, Halleluiah, after SIX days of really high temps).
We went back to the doc, today, for new and different meds (that are now destroying her stomach as they make her better; joy), but…I’m determined to push us in the direction of healing.
By sheer mental force, if I have to!
So, in the spirit of manifesting positivity, I’m going to share a project we completed a month ago, during holiday break. Ironically, it’s a project Chica received for her birthday seven months ago, so…ya know. Life. “Late” getting to some of these things is all relative, amiright???
Anywho.
I give you…resin jewelry and bookmarks!
We’ve dabbled in resin before (with keychains) and had such happy success that we realized the possibilities were endless.
But…we just didn’t get around to tackling another round soon thereafter, because it’s a bit messy and simple-but-time-consuming.
Fast forward to Chica’s last birthday, when she didn’t have much on her list, so I got a bit creative and assembled a bunch of molds and supplies for lots of resin fun.

She was thrilled to open it all, but…again, we failed to actually tackle any crafting.
Until six months later, during holiday break, when I was like: we’re doing this.
Resin is straightforward.
Resin is straightforward.
You mix, you pour, you included “add-ins” of sparkles or glitter or odds and ends that look glorious, then..you wait. Usually overnight, unless you want to speed things along with a UV light.
The possibilities are truly endless, and it’s so fun to see how you can change the color or add-ins until you create something you love.
For this round, we focused on jewelry and bookmarks (two of Chica’s favorite things) and we had a lot of success! She’s worn so many pairs of the earrings, Chicklet has created and worn some necklaces, and we’re alllllllll using the bookmarks.
Okay. A slew of pics. So many fun creations!
It was such a joy during one of our unscheduled holiday breaks to tackle this bit of project fun. I miss the days when we had more time for creativity. Life phases, I tell ya!

Okay. I’ll leave you with some really sad imagines of Chica as she’s been sick…
And one, final, sweet one (to end on an upper!) that Chica’s friend took a couple weeks ago at the house…
Wishing my beloved eldest allllll the recovery vibes in the world. She’s definitely been put through her paces!
And really (really) wishing Chicklet stays stable, since she’s the only kid still standing.
Okay, more maƱana, peeps!
Over and out.
