Grand Cayman 2025–Day 1!

Well, peeps.

Considering the fact that the last post I managed (a whole week ago!) was on the topic of insane family schedules and the feeling that we never have an unaccounted moment these days…it’s high time for some vacay vibes and quality, togetherness shenanigans!

Amen, Halleluiah, it’s SPRING BREAK! And we’re in…the Caribbean!

I really can’t understate the amount of work it takes for our crew to make it out of town, and it’s magnified by a factor of a lot when we’re dealing with Coda girl, but that whole process and heaping amount stress is a post I will absolutely share on the flip side of vacay.

For now, let me just say that it was nothing short of RELIEF to make it to the airport (at an unholy pre-sunrise hour this morning) and through both flights.

We had little planned today (since we didn’t arrive until about 2 p.m., local time) beyond getting our bearings, and I’m thrilled to report that I chose an amazing late-lunch spot that was alllll dairy free and mostly gluten free—and insanely delicious!—so we were all in heaven.

The smoked mushroom brisket tacos…I die.

And it was in a beautiful shopping area…

Afterward, we went to our rental cottage, which is beauuutiful. Such a fun little oasis with a pool and such lush landscaping.

Then, we popped across the street, right at 5:30 p.m., to enjoy the last hour or two of sunlight on the beach, and it was so chill and happy. :)

No need for further commentary…the pics say it all. :)

We have a really fun boat excursion tomorrow that will be our main activity, and I’m sooooo looking forward to more quality, family time. :)

So grateful for this breather and break from the insanity of our regular routine.

Happy Spring Break, peeps!

Over and out.
