Okay, peeps.
Engagements, dog doodles, and pumpkin spice…oh my!
It was a MAJOR day. (Any Swifties out there know what I mean!)
What a stinking joy to accidentally have Chica (the biggest household Swiftie besides me) home sick, so she could hear the engagement news live, firsthand, hot off the press.
AMEN, HALLALUIAH!
And, also…this:
I am so here for this worldwide wedding-vibe journey we’re about to embark upon. BRING. IT. ON.
(Also, bring on October 3rd! IYKYK).
In other news…bring on the pumpkin spice! Starbucks’ autumnal drinks arrived, today! Woohoo!
In other other news…Chica and Little Man are on the path to recovery! Their fevers have broken and they’re off to school, tomorrow (fingers crossed!), which means they had a bit more energy today, and more capacity for activity.
Enter…doodles! Our favorite sedentary, sick day pastime (when they’re up for it). And thanks to the other (other, other) major happening of the day (National Dog Day!), it was easy to select the winning drawing:
It was a delight to have the time for a little doodling—even if I was missing my Chicklet, who would have rounded out the bunch (even if she also would have declined to participate, ha).
We definitely tried to soak in the unintended benefit of some quality time together amidst the illness, but it’s also been a busy few days, with more to come.
So…onward and upward with more adventures, tomorrow!
