He grew up in Colón, where his father was a police officer during the era of the United States’ control of the Canal Zone, and its long been a plan to visit, all together. And finally, finally, it’s happened. :) Just know that it took a lot of coordination and not even flu (poor Chica; more on that, later!), halted the plans.
I’ll share so much more when I have a computer for easier typing, but for the next few days, you’ll have to be happy with as many pics as I can post without going crazy (I still miss the ease of my posting app!) and a brief description!
Today included a tour that brought us to the visitor’s center of the canal locks—complete with a fascinating movie that explained the history—then a walking tour of old Panama.
The first handful of pics are from our resort in the Gamboa Rainforest Preserve. It’s a central location for our adventures while we’re here, so it’s home base. For reference, here’s a couple of maps…
What a one-of-a-kind Christmas Day. :)
I’m praying for better health for my eldest, tomorrow. She powered through the tour like a champ, today, but crashed thereafter. So every day that can not be her rock bottom would be soooooo amazing.
Okay, more as I’m able!
A very merry Christmas to you and yours!
Over and out.
