Simple Holiday Joys--December 2025!

Okay, peeps.

We're in the thick of it, but now on the rapid downhill descent toward school being out and the official holiday break launching!

And, boy, do we need it!

I've been so proud of all that my kiddos have accomplished--and weathered, if we're being honest--over the past few weeks, but I know they need a break, now. And, holy cow, do the hubby and I need one, too! I can't freaking wait to switch up the routine and indulge in a tiny bit more rest and relaxation before (gasp!) the launch of a whole new year! 2026?! INSANE.

As part of my ongoing initiative to take care of my mindset and mental health as much as my to-do list, I've kept up our Attitude of Gratitude from November--but with a specific focus on isolating the tiny joys that are particular to this season.

Hysterically, because we live in South Texas, a particular joy this time of year is the fact that we finally--finally!--have some autumnal foliage going on! For Christmas, natch. ;)

The views from inside my house have been sparking some major joy for me. I don't think I ever cared about trees as much as I do, now. And there are a handful on our property that enjoyed some professional trimming a couple weeks ago, and it's like they're thanking us in color for their healthy haircuts.

Last week, our beloved pool tree was a beautiful orange, and now it's already a bold red within a week's time. :)

It's such a beautiful scene out the window (or in the background of my Coda sleeping pics, ha).

A perfect reminder of the fleeting nature of this beautiful season. A reason to pause for a moment and enjoy something simple before it passes--and that's exactly what I'm trying to do with every small thing leading up to this final holiday push!

Happy Hump Day, peeps!

More, soon!

Over and out.
