Today was such a lovely day, filled with lovely women, lovely food, and lovely decorations.
I wish I could think of a good word to describe it all.
Oh, wait.
I've got one.
Lovely.
That word really is the most appropriate because so much love went into the preparation, and so much love went into the smiles and cuddles and compliments that Baby Girl received throughout the special event. And there's really nothing better than a room filled with lovely (there it is again) women celebrating the arrival of new, little, lovely (I know...I'll stop) woman to join their ranks.
So many beautiful touches went into the decor:
I just love my mother-in-law's new dining room furniture. The contrast of the white against the raspberry wall color is so striking. And look at these gorgeous flowers for the gorgeous room:
And what a thoughtful and playful touch this owl fabric was:
And I suspect this fluffy gal will be a dear friend of Baby Girl's someday soon:
* Shout-out to Grandpa Dee for picking it out. See--men can be lovely, too. ;) *
I was so proud of Baby Girl for abstaining from certain, shall we say, less than ladylike bodily functions whilst in the company of all her new friends. And I like to think of this as her victory pose for pulling it off:
And this was her victory reward:
A snuggly nap with her Dada, who loves her so much.
