(Although, technically, how can you forget something you didn't even know about yet? So just scratch that command and READ THIS).

But there's good reason, because Baby Girl mumbled her FIRST WORD!!!
And wouldn't you know, it was freaking "Dada."
But it was so. darn. cute. I don't even CARE that the hubby won out.
Besides, about a month ago ago, she went through a two-day spell of saying "mmmmm"s she just never added the "ah" to it. So technically, I'll claim a minor victory in the consonant-forming race (which is an actual race, of course).
It was so beautiful to watch her figure out what she was doing. She started mumbling a bit when the hubby was finishing up her bath time/ PJ routine, but she didn't really go at it until he left the room--ha. Then every time I called him back to hear it, she clamped up! Hehe. Seriously--it happened three times, until finally, he hid outside the nursery door and caught it:
Of course, Baby Girl has no idea at this point what the word means, so maybe I'll claim an even bigger victory someday soon when she babbles "Mama" and knows it's me.
In the meantime, I can't WAIT to hear her ongoing chatter. It's the most precious sound in the world.
