Pft.
I love it when I'm hopeful and naive.
But I'm not either anymore, since the little nugget has gone about a month now without taking two naps in one day.
Only problem: like most toddlers going through this transition, she's not quite ready. And worse yet--she still takes a relatively short-ish nap for that one she's allowing to remain in her routine. So she often looks like this:
Which, I suppose, is better than the alternative of crying crankiness (that very often presents itself, too).
But looking on the positive, her dog weariness gave us a first today that we never thought would happen.
For the first time EVER (and I do mean EVER), she fell asleep in the car...
...and then stayed asleep, even when Daddy hauled her out:
This is like a Big Foot sighting, people.
Seriously--Lochness caliber.
Of course, the booger woke up screaming the moment he tried to lay her in the crib, but still.
We came close.
Oh so close.
Here's hoping this nap transition gets a little easier on all of us at some point.
