Gold Star (Twirly) Assistant

This weekend, we spent some time over at the new house, exploring and measuring, now that the drywall is done, the cabinets have been installed, and the stairs exist!

It's crazy fun to see it all coming together--especially since we hadn't been inside in a couple of weeks. The progress is amazing. Makes me anxious to see what another couple of weeks will bring.

But anywho...as I was saying: exploring and measuring--the measuring bit, for a some window treatments we needed to go ahead and order since they take awhile to get in.

Chica was the. most. helpful. measuring assistant to Daddy. I mean, wouldya just look at that supportive form?

Helps with the accuracy, I swear.

In fact, every task is best accomplished whilst being snuggled by a lovable little toddler.

Chica is soooooo digging the new casa in its current stage. LOTS of room to roam, and lots of cool (translation: not at all cool but instead, quite dirty and and quite possibly dangerous) things to mess with.

But I gotta tell you, danger and dirt aside, it warms my heart to see her running around with just a tad more excitement when she's in her new playroom. I think she likes the space--and I know she especially likes the two stairs that lead up to it. They're just the right size for her to try to climb upright, on her own.

More bumps and bruises, here we come!

In the meantime, enjoy this adorable video of Chica perfecting her brand-spanking new, whirly twirly moves in the playroom:

Happy Weekend, peeps!
