Glutton For Punishment

As if one round of painting wasn't enough during the first couple of days we owned the house, we voluntarily signed up for round two with 10 days left 'till Christmas. 'Cause I just wanna see how long I can go without actually putting our home together--ha.

This round is dining room, some molding in the loving room, a guest bedroom, and...Chicklet's nursery!

Earlier this week, the hubby and I finalized the new nursery color after I came up with a theme for both my girls (I love typing that). Both with have the nature of a tree as part of their decor, but Chica's greys and lavenders and whites will make her space a Fall/Winter atmosphere, and Chicklet's will be a Spring/Summer with lovely mints and peaches (the color, not the fruit).

Only problemo: when Chica and I came back from running a couple of errands, the lovely mint wasn't on the walls. Instead, I walked in to find this:

I think the painter closest to me was quite shocked when I just started saying, "no, no, no!"

The whole thing can be chalked up to a communication mix-up and Sherwin Williams numbering, but I am sooooo happy to report that by the end of the day, the correct "Lighter Mint" was in place and my universe was back on its axis.

The color is so fresh and lovelery...it makes me smile.

In other completely unrelated news (except for the fact that it also makes me smile):

This afternoon I had to buy Chica a small gift for a neighborhood Santa thing on Saturday (yes, we have neighborhood events--woohoo!), but of course, I had to buy it while she was with me, since she's pretty much always with me :)

So...the little booger became quite attached to her new necklace and bracelet (random gift for a 17-month-old, I know, but the girl luuuuvs some bling). It wasn't pretty when I had to sneak them back to wrap them this evening. But she'll get them back soon enough.

Happy Thursday, peeps!
