Up 'till now, Chica had only busted out her adorable "please" to get food or beverage our of Mama or Daddy.
But yesterday, after her nap, she asked Mama about the "water" and the "fountain"--clearly wanting to go down to her new favorite spot, the pond--and I was about to politely decline her request...until she looked up at me with those big, brown eyes, and said, "please."
And I was toast.
I don't have a pic of her saying "please" and I've already posted a bunch of the pond, so instead, enjoy this cutie-pie shot of Chica and Daddy yesterday at lunch. I don't know who looks cuter :)
Panda
As in, Panda Express, not the adorable animal.
Today, Chica and I went to our beloved Panda for lunch while we were running some errands. It's been awhile since we've been (since it's closer to the old house than the new), but it took no time at all to be reminded of why we love it.
First, the food is scrum-diddly-umptious.
Second, there are two employees there (perhaps a husband and wife) who treat Chica and I like royalty. No joke. They give us free drinks, extra fortune cookies and soy sauce, and never ever let us carry our tray to our table without assistance. Instead, they get our napkins, fill our (free) drink from the fountain and wrangle the high chair--even if there's a line of half-a-dozen people waiting to get their food.
I don't know what we did to deserve such special treatment, but it's lovely. And I'll be a customer for life.
Again, I don't have a pic of us eating today, so please enjoy this cutie-pie shot of Chica in her car seat, instead :)
Patience
And...last but not least, for my random three tidbits today, we get to patience. As in, the patience (and adorable awesomeness) of walking whilst holding hands with a toddler.
I am SO happy (and a little be proud) to report that Chica has finally gotten the drift of walking while holding Mama's hand. Up 'till now, she general protested being reigned in like that. Which meant it was next to impossible to let her down in public without a lot of chasing and back-bending and scooping.
But a light bulb must've finally gone on in her adorable, growing brain this week, because she's willingly holding on, and understanding that's the only way she gets to toddle along like a big girl.
It's super fun to walk with her like that. And it's super fun to see the smiles on people's faces as we pass.
And it's also super fun to see how worn out she gets after walking the toddler equivalent of a marathon while we run errands.
(And then, Mama gets to cuddle).
Happy I'm-Full-Of-Random-Tidbits, Tuesday, peeps!
