When A Toddler Takes Over Your Phone

I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that my phone isn't really mine anymore.

But that's A-okay.

Because at least Chica is kind enough to "loan" it to me without (usually) pitching a fit when I tell her I need to make a call. Gracious, huh? Only because she's learned that if she behaves, I'll give it back.

And you know, I can't really complain too much about her interest in it when she's playing educational games-mastering puzzles, flash cards, letter associations, and, sure, some purely entertaining games, too. Hard to get upset when she's learning so much from it.

My only fear: she's learning a bit too much.

Like yesterday, when she learned how to put a filter on photos in my album.

This was the original coloring (cropped in a bit) of a pic from last weekend:

(Cutest pic ever--am I right, or am I right??)

And this is the filter she gave it (and saved over the original, I might add):

Gotta say--nice retro effect. Totally appropriate for the merry-go-round setting. Good eye, good eye, kid.

I might just have to save my pics on my hard drive more often (since I've angered the elusive cloud and it doesn't backup my photos anymore--ha).

Beyond altering my pics, she's slso started saving screenshots from one of her games, too. Toca Boca Hair Salon. So now I'm frequently treated to images like this...

And this...

Aaaand this...

Gotta say, makes me laugh every time I see them in my photo album, so I hope she keeps 'em coming.

You know, when I upgrade my iPhone in the next few months, I'll just give her my old one.

But it'll be a waste. 'Cause the smartypants is wise enough to want the spiffy new one.

;)

Happy Weekend, peeps!
