Which means...school is back in session, Starbucks pumpkin spiced lattes are among us, and--oh yeah--I'm soon to birth a baby boy!
So in honor of the official close of Summer 2015 (hello, Labor Day Weekend!), I shall post over the next few days about the things I'll truly remember from these last few months with the girlies.
First up: TINKERBELL.
We happened upon Tinkerbell by accident when we caught a few minutes of one of the five adorable movies on The Disney Channel.
And the next week, when I needed a diversion for the girls that would force them to be still while they were recovering from a little bug, we picked up one of the DVDs at Target, and...the rest is both history AND a true love story :)
I never cease to be grateful for the creativity, good-natured adventures, humor and fantastic music of these prequel movies about the life of Tinkerbell before the Peter Pan era we all know. Plus, there are so many famous actors/actresses voicing the characters, that it's fun to try and place them.
So, to Disney and Tinkerbell, on behalf of my enamoured girlies, I thank you.
And now, let us count the ways Tinkerbell has (happily) infiltrated our lives.
Last week, when the hubby brought me birthday flowers, he wisely & sweetly came home with something for the wee ones, too, and needless to say, they were in luuurv:
Also last week, we treated the girlies to a box set of all the Tinkerbell fairy characters. And now, they go everywhere and do everything with us:
Breakfast...
Snack time...
We've even conducted emergency super-glue repairs on wings and feet...
And Chica regularly gives them Doc McStuffins-inspired checkups...
Last up--we've got a major case of wing love goin' on:
Knowing things are going to get a little crazy in the coming weeks, I've already purchased the girls' Halloween costumes, and, by request--you guessed it--they'll be fairies :)
So in summary...
WE LOVE YOU, Tinkerbell.
Thanks for making our Summer 2015 full of "faith, trust and pixie dust."
Happy Hump Day, peeps!
