Whaley Cute

So...I'm a couple days late in reporting this, but we did something super duper uber rare on Sunday that's worth noting:

WE DIDN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE ALL DAY.

Sadly, church was a no-go, Daddy got stuck working from home, we were all a bit tired (Little Man and I, especially, after an epically baaaaaad night). So we just stayed put.

No showers. Nothin' but PJs and play and downtime and...a cute project. These plastic bottle whales:

We started with some empty Gatorade bottles...

Stuffed in some tissue paper...

Colored in some paper fins...

Attached some googly eyes...

And added some pipe cleaner water spray sprouts for these finished little cutie pies :)

The girlies "swam" them around the playroom--much to the entertainment of Little Man.

And they've made their home by the stained glass for now.

It was actually CRAZY nice to have a day where we didn't breach the barrier of our four walls (except for poor Nanna, who we sent on a lunchtime burger run). Sometimes, it's necessary to just BE.

And be HOME.

And, yay, for always having projects on deck!
