Demolition Birthday!

So...it m'birthday today :)

And I'm feeling pretty grrrrreat about it because:

1. Until two weeks ago, I'd miscalculated my age and thought I was turning a year older than I am, ha (can I blame three babies in four years for that??). So I feel like I just gained a year of youth(ish) back! Woohoo!

2. It's accidentally become a demolition birthday! For ages, I've wanted to rip out our master bathtub (ideally, I should have never put it in when we built the house, but I'll also blame babies for that fail, m'kay? M'kay.). So we finally made it priority to find a good contractor, and the project began today.

It's been amazingly low-key (first time I can ever say that about a home project, and we've done our fair share).

After Chica's school drop off, Chicklet, Little Man and I went on a walk, and by the time we were back home, the tub was already sayonara. Double woohoo!

I snuck a peek during lunch...

And by the time the contractor wrapped up for the day, things were nice and tidy and drying for the next stage tomorrow...

When it's completed (by Friday) and the bathroom walls are finally painted, I'm going to to put a chaise lounge there. I luuuurv this one that I can customize in a fabric of my choosing :)

3. Due to the demolition work, I holed up with my babies upstairs during nap time. And God gifted my with the best thing ever--three simultaneously napping kiddos (rarely happens anymore) and a thunderstorm. I mean, HEAVEN.

4. We're really starting to settle better into a whole Chica-is-at-school routine. It's usually involving a walk to the pond, a return home for some learning time with Chicklet, and some play. It's feeling very easy and natural already, thank the heavens!

On our walk, spotting some turtles...

Chica at school...

I adore her basketball moves...

And, lastly, Little Man, who had started making his way to the dining room windows for a looksie, of late. It's beyond precious...

Oops. He spotted me ;)

5: My eldest sang me Happy Birthday all by herself and it was priceless. And angelic. Even sweeter than the warm, hand-delivered cookies I received (I'm talkin' bout you, Godmother Lisa) and the chocolate cake the hubby brought home.

I had a lovely, lovely blessed birthday. I can only hope to receive another year of love and blessing with m'fam.

Over and out, peeps.
