A Beautiful Fall Weekend

We had a beauuuutiful day full of lots of outdoor family fun yesterday--including a visit to a tree farm north of us.

This is the farm we purchased our beautiful magnolias from in the Spring, and we love them so much that we're hoping to plant one more in the backyard this month.

It was muddy from the rain the previous day, but I only think that heightened the kiddos' enthusiasm.

And speaking of enthusiasm...Chica found a grasshopper friend (I think it was an official grasshopper, yes?) that she was surprisingly chill with climbing from her leg all the way up her chest before he flew away.

She said she hopes her new friend comes along to our house when the magnolia tree comes, hehe.

Then yesterday evening, we had a mini family photo session--our first we've attempted since before Little Man was even born--at a local park when the light was beautiful and golden.

These pics are just ones I snapped as we were walking down to meet the photographer (who was wonderful and so patient with the kiddos). They did so well and were sooooo content to just be and play outdoors while natural moments were caught on film.

I can't wait to see the result of the session, and I'm so grateful that it came on such a beautiful Fall day.

Today, we attempted to keep the happy family fun going, but shortly after the below pics that were taken at our before-church brunch, Mama was struck down with her worst migraine in ages. Booooo.

I'm sorry to say that, after I lost my brunch repeatedly, I was out cold for a few of hours to sleep off the pain :(

I'm soooo grateful that this yucky day happened on a weekend when the hubby was around to hold down the fort.

But it would also be super super fantastic if I don't get one like that again anytime soon!

Here's hoping to a beautiful week ahead--especially for those who've weather the hurricane this past weekend!

Over and out.
