All That Glitters

In case it's not obvious...let me state for the record that I luuuuuurv the seasonal change--and not just for the cooler temps, fantastic holiday decor, fabulous family time, and oodles upon oodles of other things.

I love it for the clothes my kiddos require--since the darn buggers keep growing, despite my protests not to.

When I completed the donation/rotation/size evaluation closet hoopla last week, the girlies had some wardrobe holes. And how "terrible" to have to fill them ;)

Of late, my particular weakness has been the new line of Target kids' clothes (that I won't type here, 'cause I'd hate to pop up in google searches for it). It's so fun and affordable, and, let's face it, Target is my home away from home.

Today's amazing (and I mean, AMAZING) finds for Chica's church dress needs:

I mean, why don't they come in MY SIZE??!

And for $24.99? Less, if you count my 5% discount?

Golden!

I'm so bummed they didn't make matching dresses in Chicklet's size, but we did come away with coordinating skirts. I'll refrain from showing you the other pieces I got, lest you call my hubby and report a shopping addiction (I swear I'm financially responsible, peeps!).

But I'll show you this $13.99 find for Chicklet:

I seriously LOVE fun, affordable wear like this. It's a happy thing.

And, as always, when the girlies are marveling at their new threads, I try to stress their blessings. And today, when I started my lecture, Chica smiled wryly and said, "I know, when it doesn't fit me anymore, I'll give it to someone else who needs it."

I suppose that's something, yes?

And now, keeping with the glittery theme of our day...I give you the painted pumpkins the girlies fashioned this afternoon while brother was still sleeping:

The paint was lovely, but we stepped it up a notch by making it rain glitter...

Like, pouring rain glitter ;)

Oh, and since they were still in an artsy frame of mind, we busted out some spiders to paint and sparkle after the pumpkins.

Happy glittery hump day, peeps (that just sounds weird)!
