New Play (And Party) Place!

So, today, we had to run a quick errand before our standing Monday lunch date with Daddy, and since it went swiftly (thank heavens!) we had a small bit of time to kill.

Enter: new play place.

I'd peeked in this space a couple months ago when it opened (in a shopping area we frequent) and was intrigued, but I thought they only opened for party bookings. Lo and behold, they have open play every weekday and there were a handful of little tikes in there, so we checked it out.

Net/net: we dug it!

At first glance (peeking in through the windows), I'd discounted it as a bit sparse, but it turns out I was wrong. I quite appreciated the fact that they resisted over-crowding, kept the huge windows a lovely, natural-light focal point, and there was still plenty to entertain all three kiddos (especially inside the little play houses that each had a theme).

Biggest thumbs up: the color palette! I know it's silly, but I'm averse to bold primary colors, and this palette is right up m'alley.

It's a bit pricier than our other indoor play place, but certainly doable for a day when we have more time and want to change things up. So, yay, for having a new outlet!

We're on the countdown to the official holiday, peeps! I can't believe it :)
