We attended a dance class friend's bday party at a park and splash pad, we had an amazing dinner out at our favorite steak restaurant, we had a wonderfully successful morning at church (thank you, God, for the gift of the kids' activity bags to keep them happy in the pew, but for the record, Chicklet is totally listening and perked up at the mention of "sea monsters" from the Creation verses of Genesis that were featured today), and...
We made our inaugural visit to the massive, amazing, brilliantly-conceived, public aquatics and recreation facility that's been in the works here in our city for years and just opened a couple months ago.
Spoiler alert: we loved it so much that we quit our other gym/pool today and have totally converted!
These pictures won't do the facility justice, because I only captured a portion of the outdoor aquatics area. So just trust me when I say it's amazeballs and there will be oodles of pictures taken there throughout this summer.
So, one of the biggest hits for Chica was this giant, family-style slide, that multiple people can go down at once. It's super shallow at the bottom, and equipped with lovely pads in case of any jostling. It's super fun--and I say this from loads o' personal experience today. ;)
I'm truly excited and grateful for this amazing, new outlet.
Today, we visited on a day pass, but you can join monthly or annually, and it will be a fraction of the cost of our previous facility with gobs and oodles and spades more fun. Win/win!
That said...it's going to be a bit more daunting to wrangle my trio when I'm flying solo without the hubby, so wish me luck as we get into our new pool rhythm over the next few weeks!
Happy Sunday Funday, peeps!
