But I'm tired, and my back is broken (literally...well, not exactly broken but waaaaay problematic). So I'm just gonna post some highlights of my beautiful babes, in no particular order.
M'kay? M'kay.
So this is my Chica (looking waaaaay too old), after her kindergarten assessment today at her elementary school. Woohoo!
She did awesomsauce in the environment. And was just down the hall with a couple other kids and some teachers for 20 minutes while I wrangled these other yahoos outside on the playground in the thousand degree heat and humidity:
Doesn't he look giant?! He's just growing too, darn fast, I tell ya!
After the assessment, we had a lovely and lively play date at the house. I've sort of let regularly-scheduled play dates fall by the wayside in the past couple of months, as it got too difficult to navigate everyone's schedules and play the ringleader role.
But today was a reminder of why it's worth it, because the kiddos--Chica and Chicklet, especially--were in heaven with their friends.
(My back was not.)
And now, to go completely out of order and share some other sweet cuteness...we got Little Man a just-his-size basketball hoop this weekend, and he digs it.
He loves playing catch, and recently, I'd noticed him pretending to play, well, basketball, it sure looked like. And when he learned to use things as backboards--ahem, the TV, the fireplace--so he could play sports on his own, I hopped to it and got him some equipment. :)
He's got some mad skills, our little dude. And he's a fantastic dunker, hehe.
And lastly, in the this-post-has-no-theme news...my kiddos are still summertime wiped.
Play hard, sleep hard, I tell ya.
