Orlando 2018–Day 2

So...today we had so much fun at this tiny, no-big-dealio, hole-in-the-wall, nobody’s-probably-ever-heard-of-it water park right here:

I kid, I kid.

It’s the newest Universal Park, and it’s amazing. The kiddos were in heaven. I mean, on a day when the low temperature was 48 and the high was only 76, we still had a blast. The water is heated during the cooler months, so we were totally fine—as long as we didn’t get out of the water, ha.

The kiddos woke up after a good night’s sleep bright-eyed and raring to go. :)

The park and shuttle process was pretty easy-breezy.

And the grounds were lovely with a Polynesian theme to everything.

Here’s our official before picture, with the coolio volcano behind us. :)

Of course, being that it was a water park and all, it was pretty impossible to take many action shots while I was in the water with the kiddos.

So I have about a gazillion shots from these slides for the wee ones and very few from the lazy river with the fun cave-like tunnel) that they were obsessed with).

And I definitely don’t have any shots from the awesomesauce, giant, six-person-raft water slide that only Chica was tall enough to ride with Mama and Daddy. But if I could’ve captured her face in the moment, you would see that her megawatt smile outshone the Vegas Strip. I hope it’s seared into my brain forever and always.

It was a blast—even in cool-ish weather, with kiddos short enough to only take advantage of a few key areas. So I can’t imagine how it would be on a hot day with grown children (though the lines and sunburns would be insane then).

The park gives everyone this TapuTapu wrist band that’s fantastic. You can scan in for rides and not wait in lines. And the kiddos thought they were the coolest gadgets ever, tehe.

And here’s our after shot with everybody still intact and pretty happy and not sunburned. Woohoo!

A happy day, for sure.

And looking forward to another one mañana!
