A ROYAL WEDDING!

Okay, so, its pretty commonly known amongst my peeps that I’m a ravenous royal watcher.

I’ve read (many) biographies.

I’ve saved magazines from decades past (seriously; I have a royal-themed storage bin).

I’ve poured over more coffee table books than I can count.

I’ve totally fangirled whilst in London for work, visiting Kengsington Palace and the Tower of London, beaming like a fool.

I’ve done the middle-of-the-night wedding wake-up (for William and Kate).

And...I was reminded today that I did indeed write a letter to Prince William as a pre-teen (Diana died on my birthday—at least time-zone wise when the news hit the States—and since I’d lost a parent as well, I just knew we were cosmically bonded and meant to be, ha.) Shockingly, William did not write back.

Luckily, I grew up and realized Harry was pretty dang fun, and I’ve been crazy pumped about this wedding for months.

But.

I allegedly have three children under the age of six, and a 4 a.m. wakeup is just not a smart idea.

Plus—my eldest was telling everybody at school on Friday about the prince getting married, so she would have slayed me if I watched without her. And I ain’t waking’ up a five-year-old at 4 a.m. for a viewing party.

So.

We woke at a normal time, and I forbid Nanna from watching anything without us—even if she snuck out of bed early.

And she was disgruntled—but forgave me because I’m her daughter, and I make her do crazy things like this:

Yup.

We did it.

We wore tiaras and veils.

And. Last night, after trying on our veils, we made cookies that we graced with edible Harry and Meghans, hehe.

And then, this morning, we acted silly again—and ate the cookies during breakfast. Along with the delicious scones I forced Nanna to bake for the occasion.

And then watched. For hours. And the kids came and went upstairs and downstairs during the fun parts. ;)

Sigh.

Soooooooo fun.

And nice to have a lazy morning.

Followed by Chicklet’s dance recital—which I shall post about mañana!

Happy Harry & Meghan Day!

Over and out.
