Tongue’s Out, (Crafty) Fun’s On

Oh my freaking goodness it’s been one whirlwind of a week!

So much to do, so many fun activities, so many meltdowns, and sooooo many tired bones (mine).

Also, sooooo many posts to catch up on!

I’d hoped to tackle a few tonight, but I’m gonna start with one and see how it goes. So heeeeere we go!

So on Tuesday, Chicklet and Little Man were in the car for a bit in the morning for our godmother airport run (I miss her), so once we made it back to our end of town, I decided to take them for a bit of fun at our lovely indoor play place. :)

We hadn’t been in awhile, which made it that much more exciting, and the kiddos were totally into the crafts table on this visit.

Of course, it didn’t take me long to notice the most stinking adorable occurrence when Little Man got his concentration on:

His tongue!

Check out this cute little booger in concentration mode. It’s just too darn cute, ha.

I mean, I only took a thousand and one pictures of that stinking tongue. I couldn’t help it!

Can we also make note of his awesomesauce circles that he loves making these days??? I think they’re pretty darn amazing for a 2.5 year old!

And his straight lines (he also makes rainbows all the time)!

(I seriously wasn’t kidding about the gazillions of pics I took.)

Now, my dear Chicklet was obsessed with the scissors—and also pretty dang skilled with them, considering we haven’t really played with them at home!

Note to self: buy some tiny tot scissors and they’ll be occupied for hours

We really did have a lovely time this go-‘round. :)

And it was almost a bit surreal to look around at my kiddos—self-sufficiently playing and having a good time—and think back to the day, not-so-very-long-ago, when I was one of the high-strung mothers with an infant strapped to her chest, frantically chasing my other very tiny babies.

It’s crazy to take stock of the passing of time in moments like these.

Thank goodness the smiles remain constant. :)

In other fun and diverting news...we busted out our beloved trampoline this week.

It was in the attic for awhile so that absence could make the heart grow fonder, and, boy, did it work. ;)

More mañana to try to catch up on other happenings.

For now, a shower and bed is calling!

Over and out.
