An Introduction

Oh my heavens, peeps.

This is totally surreal.

(And I don’t just mean the fact that I have the capacity for a double post tonight, haha.)

We are officially in our new city, all together, for good, about to move our things into the house tomorrow (despite some ongoing renovations).

And.

This afternoon, we finally got to introduce the kiddos to their new home.

:)

It was a bit of mass chaos, considering we were rolling into town after a long drive, meeting our contractors there for some catch-up items, while a slew of workers were still packing up for the day.

But.

It was priceless.

The kiddos were pumped. Chica was smiling like a fool. Chicklet was wildly in love with the super tall trees (“they go up and up, forever!”). And Little Man wanted to explore, explore, explore—any part of the house that wasn’t the car, ha.

Despite all of the craziness that has surrounded this move and these renovations, we still love this house. And if the kiddos get any sort of opinion, I think the feeling is unanimous.

Happy, happy vibes.

And I about cried over floors! We have flooring—finally! These pictures don’t do the hardwood an ounce of justice, but it’s just stunning. Especially the stairs (and the risers that were still drying after being painted, ha).

I have no doubt that in the coming days, I’ll be taking oodles and gobs of pics from every angle and light so I can share them with you. :)

I especially loved when all three of my nuggets closed themselves in Chica’s room and shut me out for their playing and giggling, hehe.

There is still sooooo much to be done. But the bones are getting stronger by the day. :)

And holy goodness, I think I’ll always have a mental image of taking them outside for a breather while Daddy dealt with some contractor technicalities. I mean, the potential of this whole property is just astounding—with some steady TLC and landscaping patience, I can already see it reviving in my mind.

My babies picked me flowers—and then took pictures of my hand, hehe.

There’s the potential for so much life on this property. And I’m hoping this is just the very beginning of us living it up.

And with a move tomorrow on St. Patrick’s Day, no less, how can we not be light and lucky???

More mañana.

Night, night, peeps.
