A PARKING SPOT!

Oh my heavens, peeps. It’s happened.

It’s finally happened.

This morning, my college hunks (look ‘em up, it’s a real service, I swear), came to haul away an entire garage worth of renovation debris, packing materials, trash, and miscellaneous donation items.

Oh—and one deer feeder from the backyard (yep, I said deer feeder; a really old, decrepit one), and a ton o’ half broken clay pots from around various flower beds.

I mean, the trash, it was real. (And this wasn’t even the first haul—not to mention, the dumpster full that finally vacated the property a month ago. Oye.)

And the cars, they’ve been sad.

Parked in the front drive for weeks and weeks (accurately: about nine or so, since move-in).

But once the junk was hauled, we were able to remove all of our wanted possessions from the garage, hose and soap it down, and reassemble it in a happy way.

And park our cars inside.

It. Is. A. Miracle.

And a major milestone for us.

And the kiddos played happily on bikes and scooters and with shovels and mud and worms (yes, worms!) for the more than three hours of work.

Have I mentioned my exhaustion???

But the cars, they are parked.

Halleluiah.

I mean, seriously. This whole move has been a major beatdown, so I sometimes forget just how far we’ve come.

Not too long ago, you couldn’t even walk into the garage, let alone think about clearing it out for actual, ya know, car usage.

Grateful to have this major thing off our list to kick off the weekend.

HAPPY FRIDAY, peeps!

Over and out.
