Our Elf Adventures—2019!

Well, m’peeps.

We set off on the road today for our holiday travels, so it was time to bid adieu to our beloved scout elf, Leaf.

So in honor of his departure (that literally brought my eldest to the very edge of tears), I thought I’d share all of his adventures this year.

Quick recap: our elf is quite mischievous and adventurous, so he spends a brief but lively two weeks at our casa, so as not to wear out his welcome, ifyouknowwhatimsayin.

And I’m not gonna lie—I was thrilled that we had yet another joyful, engaging year with Leaf, as I was worried those days were coming to an end. But, no! Honestly, it was one of our most lively and conversational years with him. The kiddos were tickled over his antics, they talked to him constantly, and they often passed notes back and forth with throughout the day.

Additionally, Leaf gained a bit more of a backstory this year (thanks to inquiring minds wanting to know). Apparently, he has seven brothers and seven sisters, and does, indeed, have a mother and a father, much to the delight of my babies. :)

So, thank you, Leaf, for all you’ve done to keep us entertained and keep us smiling—yet again.

See you next year!

Rappelling in for his inaugural day...

Creating his own swimming pool...

Playing with play-doh...

Mending ouchies (when the kiddos accidentally touched him and were worried about his magic disappearing, ha)...

Whoopsies. Using Chicklet’s learning board for some naughty words, tehe...

Web slinging with Spider-Man...

Playing the candy matching cards game with Santa...

Reading Harry Potter...

Having a tea party with Santa and Frosty...

Dressing like a candy cane on the day the girlies also dressed like candy canes for school...

Busting out the fancy tutu dress and stealing a necklace for gorgeous perching on our “lady tree”...

Enlisting Maui’s help to learn how to fish...

Sifting through our holiday decor until he found the mistletoe the kiddos were asking about...

And, lastly, for his grand finale: he was lucky enough to snag the Hot Elf Balloon for his ride home to the North Pole, and was scheduled to pick up one of his sisters (as only one would fit) along the way...

We LOVE you, Leaf!

Until next time. :)
