Distancing Day 37: Dancing Our Cares Away

Well, peeps.

I’m so pleased to report that we managed to turn our down Monday into a pretty lovely Tuesday. Woohoo!

I think the first step of righting that poor attitude ship overnight was purging all of my negative feelings and to-dos before I fell into an exhausted rest last night. So I woke with a fresh slate and a forward-thinking mindset. Thanks freaking heavens.

And we threw some random kicks and giggles into our our day to keep life interesting.

Like...doing “rainbow math” (where I wrote out each number in Chica’s math problems in a different colored crayon, hehe), whilst wearing an Iron Man mask...

Or practicing our penmanship by writing out superhero names...

And throwing some fun flash card scrambles into the mix...

And utilizing one of our beloved Osmo math apps for our lessons today instead of basic worksheets...

And, naturally, we did our doodling. Yesterday was unicorns...

Today, dolphins...

All good things, peeps.

Along with some pretty dang exhausting exercise of the elliptical and family bike riding variety, some work on the ceiling hole patch work we’ve been completing, and we were feeling pretty dang accomplished just before dinner.

And that’s when we got to throw in a bonus activity.

For several weeks now, the girlies’ dance studio has been setting up no-contact pickup times for families to come grab the costumes they paid for, prior to all this pandemic craziness. But we’d missed several of those no-contact windows, and just couldn’t make schedules work.

But today was the golden day! The costumes were retrieved, the girlies were thrilled, and our favorite donut shop that’s right next to the dance studio was open for drive-thru orders, so we helped to support their business and made our tummies happy. :)

All happy things.

And...look what costume Little Man is trying to finnagle out of me, claiming it’s only fair:

The dude has a point. ;)

Grateful for my light of foot ladies and a household without major issues today.

Still tired, though!

Stay safe and healthy, peeps.

Over and out.
