Enchanting Swim Light

Well, m’peeps.

We’re three weeks into our own unofficial, household swim season, and I feel like we’re in such a great groove. Even better than last year.

First, the girlies are getting stronger in the water, which is always a good thing. And Little Man is slowly but surely building his upper body strength so he can keep up.

Second, as with all of our household play, my trio of crazies may fight hard sometimes, but they also play hard these days. Together. So I feel like they’re having more fun than ever in the water.

And, third, we’ve really aced the timing and frequency of our swim sessions. We’re pretty much limiting it to no more than every other day (so I can keep the towel and swim suit laundry under control), and we’re mostly swimming just before or after dinner.

There are so many bonuses to the after-dinner swim time.

It wears them out just before bed.

We can pluck them out of the water and straight into the shower.

We really don’t have to get angsty with sunscreen because the sun has dipped low enough to be blocked by our trees.

And, lastly...because of that descent of the sun, and the filtering through the trees, we get the most heavenly light.

It’s just so peaceful and calming. Even when our splash game is strong.

It’s definitely God light.

Grateful, as always, for this family outlet.

It’s a beautiful thing.

Light and all.

:)

Over and out.
