Another Grandparent Day, Another Pond Stop

There’s something magical about visits to grandparents’ houses—no matter the city, dwelling or environment. It’s just a sacred part of so many childhoods (for those fortunate enough to have that living, involved generation).

And I’m so grateful that my kiddos absolutely love spending time at both of their grandparents’ houses—conveniently located just down the road from one another—and have both unique and shared things they love about both.

At one, it’s special donuts, backyard sloped hill playing, bunking together, and a playroom they love.

At the other, it’s special cookies, pond excursions, bunking together, and a playroom they love.

They’re blessed with loving grandparents that they get to see in one, fell swoop. And it’s so wonderful that any tears while we’re in town usually have to do with overstimulation (too much fun and too little bunking-together sleep), or the desire to never leave, ha.

So...soak it up, m’babies.

‘Cause nobody will give you that sugar like the grandparents. ;)

And, yes, yes we did make a cookie run in the middle of the afternoon (with masks) in pajamas. ‘Cause we keep it classy like that.

And four evenings running...bikes to the pond for the win (finally had to get dressed for that).

Happy Weekend, peeps.

Over and out.
