Floof!

Well, peeps.

I hit a brick wall around dinnertime.

A really, really sturdy, reinforced brick wall.

We’ve had a lot o’ fun this week, but it’s been a chock-full schedule, and today ended up far busier than I intended. Throw in a short night o’ sleep and I’m wiped.

Alas, Chica’s orthodontist appointment after school kept us from project fun today, but we did have a glorious, raucous (if a little chaotic and headache-inducing) bit of time in the evening for the kiddos to chat animatedly about their school days.

So...since yesterday was far livelier with more time for fun and less time for headaches and chaos, here are some pics of our antics.

It was snowman and/or holiday head-gear day at school, so to honor the theme, we went for snow cones after school for the first time in, well, at least nine months. Pre-pandemic. So it was an extra-special treat.

And then when we got home, we finally busted out the fake snow that Leaf the Elf left out for the kiddos last week. Turned out the be the perfect (on theme) day for it. And it was a big hit with my crazies.

It really did have a fun consistency. Not play-doh style. Much lighter and fluffier but with the ability to be compact. I give it a thumbs up. Especially because there wasn’t a major mess.

I mean, Chicklet was diggin’ it. They played for nearly a full hour, and even came back to it later, after dinner. :) Also. I love her gappy new grin.

And in other fun shenanigans...yesterday, we started devouring the sugar cookie tree...

And I’d like you to please take note of this awesomesauce outfit that Little Man did, indeed, wear out to run errands. Mario pajamas, Yoshi stuffed animal, socks and sandals, and...reindeer hat. This is why it’s the best to be a kid.

It’s also the best when we have pizza in the dining room...

And it’s also fun when Mama leaves a tiny treat sitting in your car seat when you’re picked up from school...

And it’s also also the BEST EVER when your beloved Chicklet brings home a laminated elf version of herself (mid cartwheel) from school, complete with face mask.

I ADORE it and shall keep it forever.

Wish us luck tomorrow making it through the Friday finish line before the holiday break from school!

Stay healthy, stay sane, peeps.

Over and out.
