When I last posted on Monday, I hoped to return the following day to share lots of fun tidbits from our long weekend. And now it’s Thursday, and I’m wondering where the week has gone. Oye. Not gonna complain, since tomorrow is Friyay, but, still. Not enough hours in most days!
Also...yesterday was a big day to watch the inauguration and enjoy some of the coverage and images that took up a bit of my “spare” time. Regardless of political affiliation or beliefs, I always find inauguration ceremonies to be particularly moving. Pomp and circumstance, music and poetry. I’m a fan. And I hope others enjoyed watching, as well.
Now, back to all of the tidbits I’ve gathered but haven’t had time to post...a lot of these are activities from our holiday weekend and beyond. Just the small things that kept us busy and entertained during this fairly rainy week or two.
First up: Mario coloring! This is now the third Mario coloring book I’ve purchased (Halloween, Christmas, and now Valentine’s), and they continue to be a major hit. We enjoyed this round on Sunday, as we streamed virtual church and the kiddos listened to the sermon.
We’ve also enjoyed a handful of doodles—and the girlies even got to participate once or twice. Woohoo! We’ve been keeping it mostly Valentine-ish, which is a great change-up from Little Man’s long-standing Mario kick, ha.

And then, yesterday, Little Man requested Alex from Minecraft, ha. Apparently, he reached his Valentine quota and needed a slight break. ;)
We still enjoy this simple activity so much, and it’s a great way to utilize a bit of our creative side.
Thankfully, this past 7-10 days has been relatively chill (if you don’t count our everyday busyness) and I couldn’t love it more.
