Spring Has Sprung

Oye, oye, oye.

What a day.

Lots o’ moving parts and a to-do list a mile long.

And...Chicklet home “sick” with allergies.

She’s totally fine—negative Covid test and all, so she’s cleared to return to school tomorrow, now that her cough has abated—but seasonal gunk is truly hitting hard for everyone in our area right now. And our entire household is feeling it.

Probably appropriate, considering yesterday was the first day of Spring, yes??

So in honor of that seasonal milestone (and instead of going into detail about all the house restoration minutia of the past few days) let’s just enjoy some light project fun we managed to work in to our crazy afternoon, once Chica was home from school.

And we actually completed another project yesterday, during our streaming church service, but I was so keyed into the sermon that I only managed these two pics, ha.

Last little funsies for the day: I may have a fig problem, but I definitely have a plant relocation program going on, ha:

I’d already moved a handful of plants upstairs during the first round of demo, but when the drywall repairs began this morning, I had a frantic 20 minutes to try to relocate all the rest before the contractors dragged my poor babies out to the garage.

Looking a bit like a fun jungle up on the landing. ;) Gonna have to work a rotation to get all these lovelies some prime window time.

And...I may end most days feeling like a substandard Mama with all that’s on my plate at the moment, but I managed to put some hot-from-the-oven banana chocolate chip bread (with butter and whipped cream) on the kiddos plates tonight, and they were hysterically pumped.

‘Bout to take some allergy and/or cold medicine and try to wind down earlier than our average late bedtime tonight.

Stay healthy, stay sane.

Over and out, peeps.
