Family Gaming

Well, peeps.

The glorious, low-key family time definitely continued today (on our wedding anniversary—woohoo!), and I’m so, dang grateful for it.

We’re really making it through a handful of the kiddos’ Christmas gifts, and it’s been nice to enjoy them together, as a family, in an un-rushed sort of way.

We played some Mario Uno…

Another board game we gave the kiddos as a joint gift…

And even survived weaponizing the lot of them with laser tag guns, ha. Thankfully, for this one, I was the referee and photographer while my four loves ran around like maniacs, working off some energy. :)

I really do love some of these action shots. And since my crazies have been demanding lazy, pajama days, it was nice to work in some sneaky cardio, tehe. ;)

Before long, the weight of some to-dos will start to settle upon me. Like taking down our gazillion Christmas trees and wrangling our outdoor decorations. And I’m trying to pretend my car isn’t in need of some engine maintenance, so that’s something else we’ll have to deal with—cost and all.

But, for now…or, at least, for one more day, we’re going to luxuriate in the family fun.

Tomorrow, it’s LEGOS and video games and perhaps some sewing or science experiments to make it through.

The rest can wait.

And even when the responsibilities come seeping in, we’re going to take them slow and steady, and plan plenty of TV and snuggle and play breaks in between.

Trying as hard as we can to really soak in this important reset time.

It flies by, and I don’t want to blink and miss it. :)

Happy Monday, peeps!

Over and out.
