Hula Doodles

Holy moly moly, we had an IN day today, and it was glorious.

And something we totally needed.

In case you hadn’t noticed, based on my absent posting on this here blog this past week, it was a strangely busy one, and it wasn’t suppose to be that way!

For whatever reason, after returning from Oklahoma for Easter, I failed in a major way to get back into a steady groove. Worse yet, all week, I was pulled from one task or responsibility to the next, without ever completing any of them very well.

I was also battling a little cold and trying (but failing) to stock up on some extra sleep—and also trying (but failing) to wade through the backlog of laundry that piled up after our trip. It just felt like a wonky, tiring few days. And we topped it off with some car trouble (mine; what’s new), and an astronomical bill of repairs on Friday.

Basically, by this morning, we were really to just barricade ourselves indoors and regroup.

The hubby had his mind set on a challenging baking project this morning. And, bless him, he even fell asleep face down on the couch this afternoon, and naps are UBER rare for him, so it was just another sign we needed some down time.

The kiddos, of course, lived their best pajamas lives, and soaked in the day. And it felt a bit monumental to tackle a doodle for the first time in ages—plus some video games and spell-making in Chicklet’s cauldron.

The crowning achievement of the day was making it to the bottom of the laundry baskets. Amen, Hallelujah!

Basically, ALL. GOOD. THINGS.

Poor Chica was a bit put-out for her pic because she wasn’t thrilled with her gorgeous background sunset that time actually loved! Poor girl being hard on herself, but she still wanted me to take a pic, ha.

LOOK!! The empty laundry baskets! Proof of the 3,487 loads I completed today, ha.

Grateful for this bit of regroup time, and weirdly looking forward to a rainy day tomorrow.

Happy Sunday, peeps!

Over and out.
