A Change of (Holiday) Guard

Well, peeps.

It’s far more fun to get out seasonal decor than it is to put it away.

Wah wahhhh. :(

But I was lucky enough to burrow at home yesterday morning to pack up all the storage bins of interior Halloween decorations. And this weekend, we’re tackling the outdoor decorations—alongside our massive, twice-a-year garage cleaning.

It feels so good to rip off the bandage and be productive.

We only have a smattering of Thanksgiving-specific items, so now I’ll have a short intermission before it’s time to start decorating for Christmas. :)

It’s hard to believe the pinnacle of the holiday season is just around the corner—but the Starbucks cups signal go time. So it’s pretty much a free-for-all from this point forward. :)

In other happy news: I’ve been dreaming about this chocolate truffle tower cake all week, and I finally snagged a piece (roughly the size of my head) this afternoon, which makes me verrrrry happy.

And, lastly…this morning, I officially completed my 30 classes in 60 days for my Barre challenge that happens annually, every September/October.

I’m so grateful for the physical challenge, but even more grateful to downshift now. ‘Tis a season for everything!

But, yay, for the hubby bringing home flowers in honor of my milestone:

He certainly had to listen to enough of my complaining about muscle aches and making the time for class, so I’m pretty sure he was just celebrating an end to my whining, ha. But I’ll take it!

SO happy tomorrow is Friday.

With Halloween kicking off the week, kiddos still a bit under the weather physically, and a lot going on at school and home, it’s been an exhausting one.

My crew needs some weekend time to regroup and regenerate.

Happy Almost Friday, peeps!

Over and out.
