Autumnal Vibes

Isn’t autumnal the best word???

So much better than autumn.

And so, so much better—and fancier—than Fall.

I’ll be the first to admit that I tend to skip from Halloween to Christmas, with only a brief stop-over in the land of Thanksgiving.

But I’m going to do my level best to give our beloved Turkey day its due for the next few weeks (or at least, like, maybe, 10 days…before I’ll get too twitchy and start to bust out our Christmas trees).

I launched our autumnal effort today, with a lovely bit of tabletop decor for our brunch:

I’m not hosting Thanksgiving this year, so I’m free to let the festive bits out early and often, so I have the feeling we’ll be eating a handful of fancy meals in the dining room for the next two weeks. :)

Next up…some project fun so the kiddos have little odds and ends to decorate their rooms:

I lurv how these turned out!

And I also lurv the fact that they came from Tarjay—which is also where the dining room pumpkins came from, so the colors coordinate perfectly. Yay, for color-palette theme decorating!

Little Man’s mismatched googly eyes made me laugh.

Next next up: some classic Fall animals:

And some accordion pumpkins and gourds to round things out.

Between the yummy cooking and the autumnal projects and some quality time reading Harry, and a family movie tonight…it was a solid Sunday, despite Nanna having to return home this afternoon.

And despite the latest round of Little Man’s health yuck, but more on that mañana.

Happy Daylight Savings, peeps (kind of).

Over and out!
