The Hubby’s Birthday Wish!

Okay, peeps.

Saturday was the hubby’s birthday (!), and he had one wish, and one wish only: to watch a movie.

That’s it. That’s all.

Just enough time to sit upstairs (with the good sound system) and watch a whole movie. 

And do you know what I told him when he made this request??

“Honey, I’m not gonna lie: I’m not sure we can make it happen.”

Ha.

Sounds harsh, but I was just being realistic, given the demands of LIFE in this era of ours.

And, yet…

BOOM:

WE DID IT!!!

It took a lot of schedule wrangling and pre-planning and chores and errands accomplished ahead of time, but, we freaking did it!

A whole family movie (National Treasure; the kiddos loved it!) with popcorn and candy—and even Coda girl hanging with us without causing too much trouble.

A birthday miracle, I tell ya!



It just gave me faith that summer IS coming—along with (I hope!) a few more opportunities for quality family time.

I love my crew. I love my birthday hubby. And I’m so grateful for happy weekend—for him. :)
